Oceana Lott reminds us that today, Fashion Revolution Day, marks the one year anniversary of the collapse of Rana Plaza in Bangladesh. I am joining others by wearing my shirt #insideout. It’s time for us to ask, “who made your clothes?” and challenge the apparel industry to follow fair trade agreements to protect workers and their work environments.
I have chosen to wear my EILEEN FISHER blouse #INSIDEOUT, because they have worked extensively to create ethical, eco-friendly and sustainable fashion production practices. And because I love this blouse!
Stand with me. #INSIDEOUT. TWEET IT, LINK IT, LIKE IT, SHARE IT, and LISTEN TO IT ON MY PODCAST.

I hope you will join me tomorrow for my first filmed interview: a conversation with costume designer, Alexandra Regazzoni. Alexandra has been featured on the blog before, when we meet a year ago, but this is the first, of what I hope will be many, filmed discussions. Because when it comes to fashion, seeing is believing …
This month marks the second anniversary of Turning Fashion Inside Out, and what better day to celebrate than Valentine’s Day! Thank you for sharing your stories, thank you for tuning in, commenting, and getting the dialogue going. Because there is a connection between fashion and self-esteem, fashion and wellness. And nothing is more joyful than telling these stories … your stories, our stories. I feel the love!
February is one of my favorite months: Valentine’s Day illuminates the soul; Fashion Week kicks off; The Winter Olympics arrives; and my blog, Turning Fashion Inside Out, turns two years old. In this podcast, I feel nothing but gratitude for the beauty that is February. xx Kisses!

My New Year’s blessing is you – Photo by Patricia Saxton
In this week’s podcast I am easing in to the New Year and celebrating you. Next month is the second anniversary of Turning Fashion Inside Out and being able to talk to you feels like a blessing. I have loved our conversations, and learning about what fashion means to you and its effect on your self image and self esteem. In the New Year, I look forward to bringing you more conversations, more discussions, more opportunities to share.
Shopping with my mother, Claire, inspired my new series, “I’m not buying that!”
This week I introduced a new weekly section to the website, called, “I’m not buying that!” Inspired by a frustrating shopping trip with my mom, Claire, who simply is not finding clothes she likes anymore now that she is over 70, “I’m not buying that!” is a chance to question rather than simply accept the status quo. I see it as a weekly conversation of the issues of the day and things that we all may be dealing with when it comes to fashion. It is a chance, too, hopefully, for you to know me better and to tell you that I often feel what you feel. And, that even though I am not a fashion insider, I will always love fashion and feel the need to express the best of me.
