My hope for the Oscars’ Red Carpet is that people bring it, that they’re not scared, that they take chances, they do something adventurous and not predictable, and just have a lot of fun.” ~ Rachel Zoe

Rachel Zoe speaks and I listen. Zoe, editor in chief of The Zoe Report, is speaking out about her predictions for the Oscars’ Red Carpet. The Oscars air this Sunday and Zoe is ever the fashion force. She calls out designer names Giambattista Valli, Armani Prive, Givenchy, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, and Dior.

Dressing major a-listers for Awards Season on her original show, The Rachel Zoe Project, was the first time I saw Rachel Zoe. At the time she was a well-known celebrity stylist from Los Angeles, and the show captured her day-to-day life; it was the first time I saw the inner-workings of a fashion stylist and I was hooked. And now years later, Zoe is the editor in chief of The Zoe Report, returning to her roots on The Red Carpet!

Rachel Zoe Returns to TV

I first heard the name Rachel Zoe in 2008 when I watched a reality show on Bravo TV called The Rachel Zoe Project. I had never been inside the world of fashion and celebrity styling and I was hooked. Ms. Zoe was exquisitely talented and in her own words, I went ‘bananas’ for her. Today, Rachel Zoe, still a fashion guru, has expanded her business world as a distinguished stylist, editor and designer, and is the mother of two young sons. Now, after a two year hiatus it seems fitting that Rachel Zoe will be returning to television this fall. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Ms. Zoe will host a half-hour talk show on Lifetime called “Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe.” The show, scheduled to air on September 24 will be set in Ms. Zoe’s Melrose Avenue headquarters. I am thrilled to see her on television again! You’re so maj, Rachel Zoe! xx.

Fashion Foursome Live!

ImageProxy-1Yesterday, a first: four fashion insiders – Joe Zee – Creative Director, Elle; Rachel Zoe – Designer and Stylist; Ken Downing – Fashion Director, Neiman Marcus and Coco Rocha – Model and Mentor, “The Face” – came together for – Style Talk Live, a Hangout on Air with Google+. They spent 30 minutes answering questions on spring fashion dressing. Beyond the florals and floral trends, people wanted to know what’s trending this spring. According to these fashion influencers, here is the recap

orange is the new neutral and goes with everything; orange handbags are the “it” bag for spring: blues in every shade: black and white graphic prints, especially chic with colorful cobalt blue accessories: big, wide cabana stripes: maxi skirts: gladiator sandals: boy-inspired dressing and the tomboy look will continue to be super chic through the fall: lightweight, warm weather leather, especially bomber jackets …

… and how to dress at the office? Ken:for work, a dress always looks polished … I’m a huge fan of the dress.” Coco Rocha: “I think it’s important for women to show it up, be proud of who you are!” Rachel Zoe: “It’s finding that balance of being very chic, slightly sexy, and strong and powerful … a great tuxedo is impossibly chic at the office.”

This conversation was fun – I hope they come back for more!
