Devoted to my sister, Cheryl

Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters – Caring, sharing, every little thing that we are wearing … All kinds of weather we stick together, the same in the rain or sun. Two different faces, but in tight places, we think and we act as one …” (From White Christmas, Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen. Copyright, Paramount Pictures)

Join my sister, Cheryl, and me, in today’s podcast as we talk about how to stay feminine in the midst of boys and motherhood …

  1. That was delightful! I loved your oxygen mask analogy! You are sooooooo right! Too often we neglect ourselves and put the needs of our kids ahead of ourselves.

I remember someone told me (maybe my beautiful mother in law) “don’t forget who was here first” in reference to when my husband and I were having our first child. But I will take that a step further and say, “don’t forget who was here first” in reference to myself before my husband and I were married. I was here first, all by myself, ME!

We must never forget ourselves and who we were BEFORE everyone else was around us. We must always remember to take care of ourselves, too! Maybe we aren’t first in line anymore BUT we should still be in the line somewhere!

    Thanks for making me remember…

    • Kylie, you express yourself so beautifully. Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I am glad I helped you to remember yourself. We are so important; the essence of who we are never goes away, but sometimes gets lost in the mix. These conversations where we have the chance to boost each other and reveal our true selves brings me much joy. xx Mel
